Orthodontics

Orthodontics focuses on the proper positioning of the teeth and the bite.

Crooked, spaced, crowded teeth or incorrect bites can cause difficulties with chewing, daily oral hygiene, and may contribute to headaches, gum problems, and temporomandibular joint disorders.

This branch of dentistry not only enhances the aesthetics of your smile but also prevents and corrects problems related to tooth positioning. Properly aligned teeth make oral hygiene easier, help maintain healthy gums, and prevent cavities and
periodontal issues.

It is recommended to have the first orthodontic evaluation around ages 5–6, unless the pediatrician or dentist advises an earlier assessment.

Orthodontic Appliances

Orthodontic appliances, together with functional orthopedics, promote tooth movement and bone remodeling.

We offer highly complex orthodontic treatment from childhood to adulthood, including ortho-surgical procedures.

Appliances, whether removable or fixed, use a gentle and continuous force in a controlled direction to correct tooth positioning.

In children and adolescents, skeletal discrepancies can be treated with fixed appliances or, in some cases, orthopedic devices. In adults, in addition to fixed appliances, orthognathic surgery may be recommended. However, solutions exist for any type of malocclusion at any age.

Aesthetic Aligners

The main advantages of aesthetic aligners are their transparency and the ease of putting them in and removing them, which allows for proper oral hygiene and cleaning of the aligners themselves. Appointments are less frequent compared to other orthodontic appliances throughout the treatment.

Aligner systems allow orthodontic treatment and the desired outcome to be previewed through accurate 3D computer simulations of your teeth, enabling you and your orthodontist to define the desired smile together.

Each aligner is replaced weekly, gradually moving your teeth until your desired smile is achieved.
